1st July 2002

So I’ve made it through the first six months of the year into the seventh. Half of 2002 is all but over. Time flies and all that.

On Tuesday last week a group of us went to see Spiderman after work. It was good to go out and the film wasn’t too bad either. Nowhere near being a classic but was enjoyable if you did the suspension of disbelief trick.

I know I played badminton on Wednesday but I don’t really remember doing it. I don’t think I played that well, but not too badly. I can’t even really remember who played.

Thursdays there to drive me wild says the Bon Jovi lyric from "Someday I’ll be Saturday Night" and that’s about right. Thursday is so nearly Friday, but it isn’t. I came home from work and fell asleep pretty much straight away.

On Friday after work a group of us went to the Cauliflower pub near Seven Kings Station. A ‘Who’ tribute band were playing. This was on the day that it was announced that the real ‘Who’ bassist had died. We had to pay five pounds to get in. Entrance had always been free on the previous occasions that we had been there. The band were good, although I know so little ‘Who’ stuff that they could have been playing anything.

To try and do something with the weekend I went to Colchester and hung around Robs place for a while with various people I hadn’t seen in quite a while, including Tim and others.

On Sunday I bought the Gamecube game ‘Pikmin’ after seeing it on Robs Gamecube and also bought myself a new mobile phone that I am just getting to grips with. Those two should keep me occupied during the week.

Today I have decided that I am definitely going to go and work in the States for a time. Details to be arranged.
