A pretty unexciting week finishes and another begins. So much so that I’m not sure where to begin. I’ll think I’ll start with today and then work backwards in time.
This morning I had the unenviable task of having to get to work without using the district line. Completely unsubstantiated reports suggest that there may have been a murder at Elm Park station. So a long detour onto three trains occurred. However luckily or unluckily all of the connections went perfectly and I ended up getting to work a lot earlier than usual. That means today has seemed like a long day. Maybe the fact that it is Monday and I’m feeling a little spaced out isn’t helping either.
I spent Sunday wandering around London on the whole. I started at the London transport museum and then headed off through Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street and Oxford Circus. Stopping at many, many retail outlets en route. Thankfully however not being tempted to buy much at all.
Saturday was a bit of a dead loss. I slept in far too long to be able to do anything useful. I got a message on Saturday night that “the Leeds lot” were out in Islington. I didn’t really feel like trekking that far and it turned out to be a good decision for reasons I won’t go into.
Friday night I went to the Oak. Probably been quite a few weeks since I was last there. It was just like it normally is, which isn’t too bad at all to be honest.
I didn’t play badminton on Sunday evening for the first time in ages, I shaved the new beard off on Thursday and I hate people who are still displaying St George flags. I really don’t see the point any more. I think that about sums everything up!
