9th December 2002

This time last year I was in Orlando, Florida. The weather was great and on the whole I was having a great time. Opps, still haven’t done any journal pages for the vacation last year. Oh well. They will probably never get done. It all depends if I find my notebook, some inspiration and some time. Whatever I was up to this time last year, I’d rather be doing that than being stuck here at work this time this year.

It is two weeks and two days to Christmas. Whilst I have no doubt these will go quickly, just at the moment I wish they would go quicker. The weather is freezing cold and there is precious little to cheer me up in the short term. Paul’s birthday party is at the weekend, but that seems a shockingly long way away.

The weekend just passed was pretty low key. On Sunday I got my hair cut and went to the quiz in Brentwood in the evening, The team of Dad, Dels parents and Del and I won outright. That’s the first time anybody has managed to win the quiz outright from our group. So I guess that is something to smile about.

Saturday was a complete and utter waste of time really. I got up at 3pm and just lounged around all day and went to sleep in the evening. Friday night was a get together in Brentwood of a few people that Jason could muster together. We went to a bar called West one where I proved my age by wishing they’d turn the music down all night and just drinking Coke.

I played badminton for a bit on Wednesday, took Tuesday off work to see the Doctor about getting medication for whilst I’m away. I took the day off and ended up speaking to the doctor for merely 30 seconds, and work called me up whilst I was in bed, sigh. And Monday last week seems such a long time ago now that I really can’t remember what I got up to.

The advent calendar windows are being opened. 9 windows opened and 15 closed and 22 til the end of the year and the delivery of the news to my company that will interest me greatly and quite probably irritate them, no more.
