Wishing your life away is a bad thing to do because you never get any of that time of your life back. On the flip side however I know of very few people who would choose to be in an office slaving away when the alternative was doing anything you wanted. Yes my life is revolving around money. You either have enough and too little time to do anything with it or not enough and plenty of time. I’m trying to save up for my trip to America next year when I will have no income at all and quite possibly for a while after I get back the way the job market is going at the moment. All in all, I’m glad today is sailing past quite quickly and relatively free of any hassle. Another day down the line of my new life as it were.

The last few days haven’t been too bad to be honest. Thursday and Friday weren’t too bad at work, I’m back down to the enough work to do if I want to go out and find some level. All in all I’m not trying too hard to find any. That said Friday afternoon was pretty busy on the old phone lines.

Friday night turned into a pub crawl with my dad and his friends Vic and Bob. We started at the Durham, went over to the Wheatsheaf and then went to the Victoria. I don’t think I have stepped foot in the Durham or the Victoria for at least five years, and the Wheatsheaf isn’t too regular a destination. So it was different at least. The music in the Victoria was provided by Fenderman, the guitarist from Screaming Lord Sutch’s band.

On Saturday I was up just about in time to post two parcels from the Albany Road Post Office. Not something that happens very often with me on a Saturday. After that I trekked to Colchester and then on to Rob and Deans place for a barbeque and fireworks evening. I’m not sure I have ever been to a barbeque in November, so that was cool.

Sunday lunchtime saw me back at the Liberty Bell for lunch, just a week after Erin and I stopped using it as our base of operations. It was a little celebration for Dels birthday. Most of us were at the quiz in Brentwood also. We didn’t win but we had fun and prolonged the weekend.

Today has been pretty quiet and will I hope it will remain that way for the 40 minutes I intend to stay here. Just thirty two more days to work this year. I’m getting there slowly.
