14th March 2002

All of a sudden it is Thursday again and a week has passed from my last journal entry (being written at least). It is the middle of March and I am still writing 2001 instead of 2002 in the year. It must be true, I am getting older and more senile by the day.
The days are still going by quite quickly, which is good as soon it will be summery and I am hoping the weather will be more cheerful and I will be doing more cheerful things. That at least is the plan.
On Thursday last week I went out to the pub after work and met two people I used to work with and caught up on how things are going with them and in the company in general.
After work on Friday I headed over to Robs house and saw my friend Jo, recently returned from Australia and New Zealand for the first time in about a year. That was cool, but I feel I was too sober to enjoy the party properly.
On Saturday I shopped and in the evening headed to Basildon with Rob and others in celebration of his birthday. We started in a bar called Bonds and breaking the habit of recent years I went to the nightclub there, Icon and Diva. The night was OK, but did nothing to endear me to regular nightclubbing. Just how expensive is it for what you actually get?
Sunday just kind of came and went really. No badminton as they were using the hall for something else. I did have champagne for tea. I bought it as a mothers day gift and was allowed some.
This week I bought a couple of Tony Hawks books from HMV and a couple of DVDs also to hopefully keep me quiet. I played badminton last night and tonight I am going to another pub, this time one in Green Park to again celebrate Robs birthday - seems to be an all too frequent thing this last week!
Other than that I have set up Outlook Web Access at work, a dull and frustrating subject I will avoid and played Theme Hospital far too much!
And so another busy but ultimately unexciting to read about week has passed. I expect there to be many more in my life!
