14th April 2002
I'm not doing a particularly good job with keeping up to date with journal entries. My intention is to enter one every week, but I know I have been slipping.
The weekend before this one I spent in the Oak on the Friday night as usual and in Colchester on Saturday night at a barbeque for Deans birthday. It was great fun and was nice to do something different over the weekend. Played badminton on the Sunday which kept me busy all weekend.
The week before this I don't really remember. It was a four day week after Easter Monday, but there wasn't much to report.
This week also has been uneventful in the whole scheme of things. Tuesday was the funeral for the queen mother and we were allowed to see it on TV at work.
Wednesday I played badminton in the evening and had fun, it was a nice workout. Thursday I had an MRI scan on my brain. That was one of the weirdest experiences of my life as I had to stay still for 20 minutes in a dark tunnel when I was sure I was seeing things.
When I got home I had to help take my cat to the vet also. He seemed to have hurt his foot. As far as I can tell he seems to be fine now which is a relief. i think that is the first time I have ever been to the vets.
On Friday at work I battled a Linux box and an apache set-up. Yes I have a fascinating work life! I did pop into All Bar One in Hounsditch on the way back meeting Darren and Darrell there. i then headed home via the Pitcher and Piano and the Oak. The Oak was pretty naff so I headed home pretty quickly.
I didn't leave the house until about 7pm on Saturday - and that was only to go next door to help fix their computers. I spent the evening at the Oak. This was much better than the Friday night when I was there.
This morning I woke up thinking it was Monday. I am so glad that it is still Sunday. I needed today off to rest. I've completely wasted today in one way, as I have done nothing, but it has been good.
And another week will start soon...
