15th July 2002
Wow, I can’t believe how time is going. Each day seems to go past faster than the last, today in particular has flown by. At this rate summer will be gone before I know it.
So what have I been up to this week? Good question I’ll try and remember.
Tuesday last week was a nasty day, very stressful for many work reasons and it was when I discovered those nasty people at SomethingAwful incited hackers to come and have a go at the website. No damage done but that’s what sparked the redesign. It had been a long time coming but I refuse to say that they did me a favour!
The week got better work and website wise. Another meeting of friends at the Drill cheered me up on Tuesday and badminton did the same on Wednesday even though we only got half the time to play compared to average.
On Friday I went to Jumpin Jaks in Ilford where my mate Tim was doing a gig. It was a great night out, shame a few more people I knew weren’t there, but in the end I had a great time anyway, which is what counts.
Friday was my nans 85th birthday and on Saturday we celebrated with a barbeque and a couple of close family. It was quieter than Friday but the two nights complimented each other nicely.
I got up early on Sunday and went to the barbers and got my hair chopped. It needed it. Something I should do more often. In the gloriously sunny afternoon I met Rob C and another guy I went to uni with, we went to Leicester Square and saw the Minority report. A good film if it didn’t feature so much about ripping peoples eyes out. The cars of tomorrow looked a bit dumb too.
Today has come and gone quite quickly. I look forward to a new week and some sleep!
