15th September 2002
It has turned out to be a long week. That can only mean one thing, lots of work to do. Then on top of this on Friday it is announced that the entire software upgrades to our main webserver will be done by me and me alone at the end of next week. I can see my trousers being full of brown stuff for quite a while!
So work isn’t doing good things to me, what else is there to say? Well the answer to why I am writing this on a Sunday is answered in the first paragraph. Yes work has really gotten that bad.
Albeit a day later than expected the new Az arrived this week on Wednesday. So far he has been reasonably well behaved. He doesn’t like me winning at Spider FTP it seems and Cute FTP is being far from cute with us, but apart from that everything is running a dream. And on my scale of things those are both very minor things! We’ll see. He is doing a good job of letting me type into Word at the moment, yay.
Another week down until Erin gets here. I’ve been making all kinds of plans recently, today especially. It’s all very exciting. I hope I can stay this excited for when she gets here. A mere five weeks to go.
I went to Brentwood on Friday straight from work and met Sarah, Julie and Jason. We didn’t realise how early the trains stopped running and had to get a taxi back. I hate taxis! It was different though.
Saturday was busy. I started the day running some errands I have been meaning to do for ages and hadn’t got round to. Then I met Rob in London and we went to a few shops and saw the film Bourne Identity, which wasn’t too bad. Then in the evening a group of us were at Dels house playing silly games and watching strange programs about sexual fetishes for a while.
Today has been lazy but I’m off to a pub quiz in Brentwood soon so I best sign off. Ttfn.
