I hate computers. I absolutely loathe them. I came home on Friday night to find that one of mine had decided to die on me. This was at exactly the time I had pencilled it to watch South Park on aforementioned machine. Rather than mess about I elected to go out and get the bare bones of another system, do some fiddling and have a replacement machine that was basically the same with a nicer spec. That was the plan; it has taken a while to convince the box to work. It is still doing something weird but I have elected to ignore it, to make me feel better. Fortune does not favour machines of mine named ‘Kin.’
I finally got the Fantasy League website up and running. Caused me plenty of sitting in front of hot computers yesterday. I think my layout is going to cause me plenty of work, but what do I care huh? We will no doubt see.
I’m currently feeling a bit guilty about doing no work. I am just not in the mood, my mind is preoccupied, mainly thoughts of Erin and resigning and money and Amazon and camcorders and lots of things except working really. Hopefully the next 90 minutes will fly by and I can be battling to go across London by train again. Ready to go home, do very little and get ready to do this all again tomorrow.
I will however be finishing my book today. I only have 20 ish pages left of "Are you Dave Gorman?" The book where a guy named Dave Gorman goes round and tries to meet 54 people with the same name as him. It has been very amusing. I’m noticing that many of what I would call ‘Comedy’ books, specifically, ones that come about from drunken bets, seem to get put into the travel books section.
So what else have I done recently? Very little sadly. It has been one of those getting back into the routine type weeks where nothing too exotic has taken place. The girls from the group went away for the weekend and Jason, Del and I we.. well we shopped in Romford. Very dull. Then in the evening we watched a DVD on Jason’s new player at his flat. I know it was a Stephen Segal film with gun fights and fist fights and car chases and a plot I didn’t understand. Not really on my list of favourite films ever. Just as well I can’t remember the name.
We played badminton which was fun and I didn’t really do much else I’m afraid. Sorry.
