19th November 2002

I’m halfway through another work day. Another half day nearer Christmas, another half day nearer to the next part of my life. It has been a pretty uneventful day, which is not something I am going to complain about. When I last complained of being bored, which was about ninety minutes ago I got two phone calls on the bounce. The first was initially problematic, but was resolved when I dumped the problem on someone else. The second was merely a case of telling someone to turn their computer off and then turn it on again.

It was a pretty quiet weekend, which wasn’t a bad thing. Friday night was the nearest I’ve had to a rest since Erin was here. I was in bed watching Red Dwarf before half past nine and was asleep and episode and a half later. I woke up fourteen hours later.

The Red Dwarf DVD turned out to be a good purchase. It was bought primarily with the Sainsburys points I have been accumulating ever since I got a Sainsburys reward card. It definitely seems like a good thing to do if you get a good DVD out of it what, about every seven years or so. Most spare moments over the weekend were spent going through the contents of the DVD.

So I’m on to the Futurama season two DVD boxset at the moment. After that it is back to Star Trek TNG season 4, by which time I would have bought season five I’d imagine. The studios are releasing far too much cool stuff at the moment. Most of it seems to be TV related stuff. I haven’t bought a film for quite a while. I think Time Machine was the last one I bought nearly two months ago now. Hopefully it will all calm down after Christmas.

The highlights of the weekend in chronological order are, going to Julies in the evening to see Shrek on video with the usual suspects, shopping for a shirt in Debenhams and coming second in the pub quiz in Brentwood on Sunday. Oh and talking to Erin for the last three nights on the phone, but I won’t go into detail.

This week has been quiet. I’m living under the threat of being sent to Aylesbury at a moments notice, otherwise work has been completely uneventful. I wouldn’t mind at all being shipped off to Aylesbury now that it looks like I can go in worktime and not some stupidly early hour of the morning.

It is now nearly 3 pm. I therefore make it lunchtime. Bye for now!
