20th January 2002

I haven't yet got used to writing 2002 instead of 2001, and I am still not yet in the habit of writing journal entries this year.  There are two reasons for this that I can pinpoint.  1, not having time to write (or feeling like being near a computer) and 2, not much to talk about except to complain about work.

Last weekend however was an exception to part two of the above statement.  i spent most of the weekend in Colchester with the usual suspects and with the addition of Mark, whom I haven't seen for quite a while.  The usual fun was had although we didn't do much more than go to Essex University again.

This week has been quite boring, however went past quite quickly.  Sunday evening we played badminton, Monday I came home to watch the new series of enterprise like the sad trekkie that I am.  I did very little Tuesday and went back to play badminton on Wednesday.  Thursday I and it home in plenty of time to see the new series of Friends (I hate to run my life around TV programs but it might be happening again...) Friday I stopped off to see a few people in London including Sarah's friend Melissa who was up for the weekend.

Saturday I made a darting visit to Romford, which is in a very depressing building site state at the moment.  in the evening I watched the Stephen King film called the Langoliers.   An interesting idea, too long and I was picking holes in it.  If I'm picking holes in a film either it was that bad or it captured my imagination.  Thankfully the second one was true in this case, however t was about 40 minutes too long.

Today I went out for brunch at the Liberty Bell in Romford with the people who were out on Friday night, less Helen.

Tonight I won't play badminton as the court is unbookable.  I might do something with the website, I might do something fun or I might just waste time.  I have a horrible feeling that the last option may win there.
