22nd April 2002
And so another week begins. What has happened to me over the last week? Not much of note that I remember. Monday and Tuesday came and went pretty quickly. If I hadn't have gone to badminton on Wednesday the whole week may have gone the same way.
Work came and went all week without anything of note happening either. Installing apache and php on a linux box was about as exciting as it got. Yes it really was that dull.
On Friday evening I again made my now regular trip to the Oak in Romford and on Saturday I had great aspirations for going shopping in London, but tiredness beat me and in the end I only made an hour flying visit around Romford.
I'm getting quite tempted by the Nintendo Gamecube console. Not entirely sure why I'm being tempted when it doesn't yet have a killer game for it (and I am so, so wanting to play GTA 3 on the Playstation). I guess I'm just a computer junkie who needs new hardware all the time, even though I use what I have infrequently.
I went to see the film Bend It Like Beckham on Saturday night with Del, Julie, Sarah, Helen and Andy. The film wasn't too bad, much better than I expected in fact and had some good amusing points. It was a fun night out. Unfortunately Rob couldn't make it as he was working… and working even longer when he pulled everything out of a patch panel that he shouldn't really have done.
Sunday again was quiet. I half thought about travelling to London to see the shops but concluded that I couldn't be bothered as I was too tired. So all that was left to do was to go and play badminton with the usual suspects. It turns out I've hurt my ankle a bit.
I've hobbled into work today and it has been as uneventful as ever, even the trip to McDonalds at lunchtime was uneventful!
