23rd September 2002
So it is Monday, which means I am back at work. The good news is that it is almost the end of Monday and tomorrow I will have to worry about it being Tuesday. Tuesdays are generally more stressful than Mondays in my life for some reason but have the property of being nearer the weekend than any of Monday. Four weeks til Erin gets here and I’m on holiday - yay * smile*
England and Wales had a big earthquake last night. Well I say big. Big for the UK measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale. Something that barely woke most people up. I’m not sure if I felt it or not to be honest. I felt something strange around about tremor time but what it was will no doubt remain a mystery.
The weekend went by pretty unspectacularly. As did most of last week to be honest. The weekend highlights included shopping at Sainsburys (yes the weekend was that much fun) - buying the latest Friends videos - and seeing the movie Signs. An alien invasion film with Mel Gibson in. Not the best film in the world but it was good to get out.
We also came third in the quiz at the Essex Arms and got a prize for the first time ever. Methinks this is because I invited dad and he invited his parents so we had some depth to the team.
Last week just came and went. Apart from making a shoulder muscle ache whilst playing badminton, I don’t really remember what else happened to be honest. Other than unmemorable work, not a lot I think.
So that is me looking forward to pay day and getting closer to a holiday.
