25th June 2002

Last Monday and my last journal entry seem like such a long time ago. Last Monday evening was spent desperately getting a project done for the next morning. It should have been a few hours work, which was why I was irritated when I was told about it after five o’clock. I’m not allowed to discuss the project for military reasons (amongst others). So that wasn’t the best news I could get when I was looking forward to going home.

On Tuesday evening I went out to celebrate my friend Julies birthday. It was far from wild, but it was enjoyable. We started at Edwards in Romford but soon moved on to the Weatherspoons a few doors along to eat. I enjoyed the food and the company. Julie was quiet but I think she enjoyed it. All apart from the mix-up leaving her desertless. I don’t really remember Wednesday or Thursday to be honest. I know I played badminton on Wednesday evening, but I really don’t remember it.

Friday was quite quiet. I went to Tescos in the evening and bought the Best of MTV Unplugged and Frank Skinners autobiography. And spent the evening playing with my new acquisitions. Friday was also the day that England went out of the World Cup to Brazil.

I was a bit depressed on Saturday and Sunday and nothing I could do seemed to help. My CD Burner is far from happy, people didn’t really talk to me at Rob and Helens house on Saturday evening mixed with a large bunch of other things made things worse before they got better. I was still in a strop when I played badminton on Sunday evening, which didn’t make life easy for everyone else.

We got a new cat over the weekend. A creamy white ragdoll type cat who we have adopted as Bailey. He is very cute and very brave and bold. He has far too much energy!

This week has been pretty quiet. I was kept busy enough not to write this on Monday, but haven’t done anything too exciting. Still reading the Star Trek books, the third book, the second in the series I am reading will be finished today. I think I will then switch to Frank Skinner for a little bit before my brain gets Star Trek overload. Not much planned this week, though may head to the cinema tonight.
