26th February 2002

It is nearly the end of February, which isn't a bad thing, as it seems to have been around for ages even though the weeks seem to be flying past. Roll on spring and summer, although how that is going to cheer me up I'm not completely sure.

Last Tuesday I went to the cinema with a number of people to watch the film of the moment Monsters Inc. It was an enjoyable film and the cartoon that preceded it was funny also. I don't think I enjoyed it as much as the rest of the people I was with, but it was good none the less.

Wednesday I played better at badminton than I had done in quite a while and just to prove it was a fluke I didn't get going until moments before we got kicked off the court on Sunday.

On Thursday I spoke to Del for the first time since my birthday back in August. He told me that he and Jo are now engaged. A phone call from Erin following this ensured that the early night I was planning didn't happen.

On Friday we had a bit of a get together to see Del. This was the first time I had seen him since March last year I think. Nothing really has changed except time - and that is just an illusion anyway.

The rest of the weekend just disappeared. Most of the time I was asleep, but I can't really recall what happened with the rest of the weekend either.

The only comment so far week other than wishing I was in bed is to say - what is happening to the humble five pound note? None of the shops I visit seem to want to give them in change any more. Meaning that I have to wander around with a pocket full of pound coins. I notice cash machines don't dispense them any more either…
